We are delighted that in january 2014 Ofsted officially rated coopers a good school.

This was confirmed in a short inspection in March 2018.

Ofsted inspectors commented that:

Coopers is a well led school and the leadership team have maintained the good quality of education in the school and the passion shown by all staff for the welfare of each individual pupil results in a very caring and supportive environment where pupils feel safe and happy. 

In particular they praised aspects of our community and identified that:

• “there are clear expectations of behaviour…and that pupils know the routines and explained them”
• “Pupils told us that they feel very safe at the school and trust staff to act in the event of any concerns”
• “Teachers use their subject knowledge well and plan activities that allow students to develop their understanding. Open-ended questioning encourages students to think more deeply.”
