Enrichment
At Coopers we aim to support and enhance our academic curriculum through enriching trips, external speakers, clubs and opportunities.
Our extracurricular programme includes clubs within the performing arts, a wide range of sporting activities, art and technology activities, science sessions, cooking, computing, faith clubs and many more. To check what is available and when, ensure you check our extra-curricular timetable, which is regularly updated.
Educational visits have included experiences visiting galleries, exhibitions, workshops, theatres, sports centres including indoor climbing and skiing, to name but a few.
Residential opportunities are also regularly offered these include Battlefields in France for History, watersports in Barcelona with PE and Bruges for Food Technology, these are just some of the recent and planned visits for 2022. We also host Year group residentials with key stage 3 attending activity centres such as PGL. In addition, there is the very popular bi annual skiing trip.
We recognise the benefits for pupil achievement, engagement, personal development and physical and mental well-being. These enrichment opportunities enable pupils to discover, develop and pursue interests and build a portfolio of different experiences and in some cases gain extra qualifications.
We understand that trips and visits add an additional financial pressure and offer parents and carers support with the additional costs that these incur. If you want to enquire further please use this link: Coopers School - Financial Support Fund Application Form (office.com)
